From October 15 to 17, 2026, PetTransPRO had the privilege of participating in Baguio Country Club’s 1st Pet Convention, a three-day gathering that brought together pet enthusiasts, veterinarians, veterinary students, animal welfare advocates, industry professionals, and devoted pet parents.
Held in the beautiful City of Pines, the event provided a welcoming space for education, discovery, meaningful conversations, and, of course, plenty of fun with our four-legged companions.
For PetTransPRO, the experience was more than simply participating in another exhibition. It was an opportunity to connect with a growing community of responsible pet owners, share our expertise in domestic and international pet relocation, and discover new perspectives that continue to shape the pet care industry.
The Journey Begins: Bringing PetTransPRO to Baguio
Our journey began on October 14, a day before the convention officially opened.
Our team traveled to Baguio City carrying not only our exhibition materials, products, and promotional displays, but also the excitement of introducing more pet parents to the world of professional pet relocation.
Preparations were already underway as we assembled our booth, arranged our displays, and made sure everything was ready to welcome visitors over the next three days.
We wanted our space to be more than a conventional exhibition booth. Our goal was to create an environment where pet owners could comfortably approach us, ask questions, discover something new, and enjoy themselves in the process.
To make the experience more interactive, we prepared two exciting games for convention participants, giving visitors the opportunity to participate, have fun, and take home prizes.
And the response did not disappoint!
Throughout the event, participants enthusiastically joined our activities, and many lucky winners walked away with prizes and smiles. It was wonderful to see how something as simple as a game could spark conversations, create connections, and bring people together.
Behind every cheerful interaction was an opportunity to introduce visitors to what PetTransPRO does best: helping families navigate the complexities of relocating their beloved pets.
Beyond the Booth: A Convention Filled with Valuable Learning
One of the highlights of the convention was its strong emphasis on education and responsible animal care.
The organizers brought together knowledgeable speakers who shared insightful discussions on topics relevant to pet owners, aspiring veterinarians, and animal care professionals alike.
Among the important subjects explored were:

Another encouraging aspect of the event was the strong presence of veterinarians and veterinary students.

The final day of the event featured a delightful pet fashion show, showcasing the creativity of pet parents and the unique personalities of their furry companions.
The event added a playful and celebratory atmosphere to the convention, reminding everyone of the joy that pets bring into our lives.
Another memorable highlight was the basic obedience and working dog demonstration conducted by Baguio-based Roger K9.
The demonstration offered attendees a glimpse into the dedication, training, discipline, and communication required to develop a strong working relationship between dogs and their handlers.
Beyond showcasing impressive skills, it emphasized the importance of consistent training, trust, and understanding canine behavior.
For PetTransPRO, demonstrations like these reinforce an important principle: understanding how animals behave and respond to their surroundings is fundamental to ensuring their safety and welfare, particularly when preparing them for unfamiliar environments such as airports, travel crates, and transportation facilities.
Meaningful Conversations Over Crowded Booths
While the convention welcomed a relatively modest number of visitors, we discovered something particularly valuable about the experience.
Sometimes, the most meaningful connections happen when there is time to truly listen.
The more relaxed pace allowed our team to dedicate greater attention to each visitor who approached our booth.
Instead of rushing through conversations or providing general information, we had the opportunity to conduct more detailed, personalized consultations with pet parents who were genuinely interested in relocating their animals.
Some wanted to understand the requirements for bringing pets overseas. Others were curious about domestic travel arrangements, veterinary documentation, travel crates, airline policies, and how early they should begin preparing for a move.
These conversations gave us opportunities not only to explain our services but also to educate pet owners about the importance of proper planning.
International pet relocation, in particular, can involve complex procedures, including microchip identification, vaccinations, laboratory testing, import permits, veterinary certifications, airline arrangements, and destination-specific regulations.
A single overlooked requirement can lead to delays, additional expenses, or complications that may affect the animal's travel.
That is why we continuously encourage pet owners to seek professional guidance and begin preparations well ahead of their intended travel dates.
Every question asked was an opportunity to share knowledge. Every conversation helped us understand the concerns of pet parents more deeply.
And every connection reminded us why we do what we do.
For us, the success of an exhibition is not measured solely by the number of people who visit our booth. It is also measured by the quality of the conversations, the knowledge exchanged, and the relationships built along the way.
Growing Beyond Our Familiar Ground
Participating in Baguio Country Club's first Pet Convention also represented another opportunity for PetTransPRO to broaden its reach and strengthen its presence beyond Metro Manila.
As a Philippine-based pet relocation company assisting families with domestic and international movements, we recognize the value of connecting with pet communities across different cities and regions.
Events like this allow us to better understand the needs of pet owners outside our usual operating environment, introduce professional relocation services to new communities, and establish relationships with local industry professionals.
